Making butter cookies with rose jam at 11pm. :P Those gingerbread men were M’s.

Final products =)

Went to the Art Centre for the “Banksy robs Hong Kong” exhibition. I like the nostalgic stencil style, and there’s always a sense of humor in his works. Check out the official website.

and this one is so cool (from his website):

Piece by piece I put them back together

gently…who knows how fragile it is

It becomes whole again

but it’s not the same

Sometimes I don’t even notice the scar

Sometimes I think I am stronger than I really am

Sometimes I wish it’d never been broken…

Oyakodon and Clam miso soup for dinner. Very easy to make.

3 key ingredients to make the soup base: Mirin, Japanese dried fish and seaweed.

I love Clam miso soup. ^^

Corn pops tastes way better than corn flakes.

Keeping your skin clean is the first important step in achieving and maintaining healthy looking skin. Deep cleansing done once or twice a week at home can seriously make a difference in the appearance of your skin. It addresses problems like dullness, excess oil, dirt, blemishes, inflammation etc. First of all, I hate scrubs. Any products that require scrubbing is a no no to me. I don’t like the idea of scrubbing my skin with liquid sand paper. I prefer products with fruit enzyme for exfoliation, and gentle clay for its natural drawing ability to suck out all the dirt and oil in your pores.

2 favorite products:

1. Dr. Hauschka Cleaning Clay Mask. I have normal to dry skin and my face doesn’t feel dry at all after using this product. The clay is in powder form. All you have to do is mix the clay with toner or mineral water, spread it on your skin and let it dry. Then rinse off. My skin is visibly cleaner, softer, more evenly toned and radiant after use. Suitable for all skin types. Highly recommended.

2. Z. Bigatti Impact Fruit Enzyme Mask. I just leave it on my skin for 3 minutes and my skin looks so bright and clean after. “Papain and Bromelain, natural but potent fruit enzymes, desquamate the dull outer layers of skin without irritation, as Impact Mask works rapidly to correct and repair. A generous milieu of botanicals rejuvenate the skin while antioxidants in Grape Seed and Green Tea combat environmental stress and exposure, known to contribute to skin aging.”

The past 4 months has been a roller coaster ride for me. It’s been 4 months since I got pregnant and the first 3 months was rough. Nausea was a major issue and I always wanted to puke. It was a period of loneliness too because I felt sick and antisocial. Luckily M has been caring and supportive and he tried his best to make me feel better. In those 3 months I educated myself about pregnancy by reading books and surfing the net. Now I have a better idea of what goes on in my body. I started to feel more uplifting in th 4th month because there’s no more nausea and I could share the news with my friends and families.

Joop was the first person to know about my pregnancy besides M. She was very excited about it…maybe more excited than me. Thanks for your care and your lovely gift. I think you have matured a lot the last couple years and sometimes you acted like an older sister, instead of the younger haha.

UC: Joop told me you thought I wasn’t interested in your play. I think my reaction might have misled you because I still wasn’t feeling very well the last time I saw you, so I wasn’t sure if I could make it. On April 6th I didn’t come because my doctor told me to stay home and rest. I heard that the play’s a big success….congratulations! I am very happy for you. =)

M: I know I’ve been quite emotional so thanks for your patience and understanding. I also think it’s really sweet that you bought that book. It shows you are really involved in my pregnancy and that I am not alone.

By the way I am in the year of the “Hanged Man” (tarot talk :P ), which means this year my life is on suspension. I will try to embrace it and stay positive. Now that my tummy is getting bigger I am really starting to realize how crazy this is…a life growing inside me.

PS: Joop did you finish reading “The Book Thief”? I just finished it yesterday and the ending made me cry. Not sure if it’s partly due to my hormone haha.

yes bubi this puppy is super cute.

Last night I watched a documentary called “Sharkwater” directed by Rob Stewart. Driven by passion fed from a lifelong fascination with sharks, Stewart debunks historical stereotypes and media depictions of sharks as bloodthirsty, man-eating monsters and reveals the reality of sharks as pillars in the evolution of the seas. Stewart discovers these magnificent creatures have gone from predator to prey due to illegal shark finning, and how despite surviving the earth’s history of mass extinctions, they could easily be wiped out within a few years due to human greed.

The biggest markets for shark fin are Hong Kong and China. Last time I went to Sheung Wan and saw SO MANY dried shark fins being sold everywhere. It’s a horrific view. Why do we have to eat something that’s essentially tasteless without any special nutritional value? I hope you will get a copy of “Sharkwater”, watch it, and share it with your friends and family. I think as Chinese we can really do something to stop this cruel shark finning industry. Without demand shark fin won’t worth a dime and those greedy people would stop killing sharks.

I am glad I chose not to serve shark fin at my wedding banquet, and that my husband supported my decision *hugs*. If you are gonna have a Chinese wedding banquet, please do not serve shark fin soup.

This is my friend UC. The pic’s taken few months ago when we were having lunch at Press Room. I just found this pic in the memory stick haha. You can tell the food’s yummy by looking at UC’s expression.

My friend’s lovely cats snuggled together. They are so cute.

Bonnie gave birth to a baby girl named Kyla…she’s adorable!

The weather’s getting hot and my cats are dropping hair everywhere! Joop was nice enough to brush up Charcoal when she came over to my place. Notice the gentle look on Joop’s face muahhaha….so motherly. :P

Tonight I wanted to make something simple: Chrissy’s homemade Shanghai wonton and Russian Borscht Hong Kong style (羅宋湯). Healthy and yummy!!

It’s time for some sexy and flirty lingeries which I can never get enough of.  Check out Lascivious, a UK brand launched in 2004.

I play tennis, golf, and do yoga.  How could the Stella McCartney line for Adidas came up with active wears which cover ALL THESE THREE sports that are so irresistible. The clothes are made of organic cotton with nice colors and loose cut.
